The iPhone SE or iPhone Special Edition in French was announced on March 21, 2016 during a Keynote presented by Greg Joswiak at the Apple Campus in Cupertino. This smartphone is from the 9th generation of the iPhone and it is the first of the generation of the iPhone SE.

iPhone SE features a stunning 4-inch Retina display that makes it easy for users to wield and gives their content razor-sharp clarity.


This iPhone model has a 12-megapixel camera that offers incredible 4K video recording capacity. Thanks to its 12-megapixel iSight camera, photos taken with iPhone SE are crisp and clear. As for its front camera, it has a resolution of 1.2 Mpx and can record videos with a resolution of 720 pixels (HD).


The iPhone SE model runs on Apple's A9 Bionic processor just like the iPhone 6s. This makes it possible to offer its users exceptional performance.


iPhone SE has a Lightning port that lets you charge your battery and sync your data. With this model of iPhone, you benefit from 4G and Wi-Fi connectivity that allow you to browse the web, download applications or games and watch streaming videos. With the iPhone SE battery, you get 14 hours of talk time, 13 hours of Wi-Fi, 13 hours of video playback, and up to 10 days of standby time. The battery of this model of iPhone is rechargeable via an AC adapter or a USB port on a computer.


In terms of accessibility, the iPhone SE offers VoiceOver screen reader, Magnifier and many other features allowing users with hearing or visual impairments to use their smartphone effectively.


Compact and light to handle, the iPhone SE weighs 113 grams for a width of 58.6 mm with a height of 123.8 mm and a thickness of 7.6 mm.

The iPhone SE is designed with the iOS 9.3 operating system but is compatible with the latest version of iOS (currently iOS 14).
